Terms & conditions

These terms apply when you use the Huro website and app (“Huro”, “we”, “us”), operated by Huro Africa Ltd. By using Huro, creating an account or placing an order, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Huro.

These terms work together with our Return policy and Privacy policy.

You can shop as a guest or create an account, including by signing in with Google or Apple. When you do, please:

• give accurate details, including a phone number we can reach you on;
• keep your login details private — you are responsible for activity on your account;
• tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or is used for fraud or abuse.

Prices are shown in Rwandan francs (RWF). When you place an order, we call you on the number you gave us to confirm it. Your order is accepted once we confirm it.

We may decline or cancel an order, in full or in part — for example if an item is out of stock or a price was shown in error. If that happens we will tell you, and you won't pay for anything we can't deliver.

Product photos are for illustration; packaging can differ. Some products are sold in packs or by weight or volume — the size you choose is shown at checkout and on your order.

We deliver anywhere in Kigali for a flat delivery fee of 2,000 RWF per order. Orders are delivered from the next day, in one of two daily windows: 11:00 – 14:00 or 17:00 – 20:00. You can choose a later day, up to 7 days ahead.

Please make sure someone is available at the address you gave during the chosen window. If we can't reach you, we will call to arrange another time.

You pay when your order is delivered. The total due — items plus delivery — is shown at checkout and on your order.

The Used Market lets people list second-hand items and talk to buyers. Items there are sold by their owners, not by Huro. Huro is not a party to any sale between buyers and sellers and does not guarantee the condition, safety or legality of listed items.

If you list an item, you confirm that:

• you own it and are allowed to sell it;
• your description and photos are accurate, and you've disclosed any faults;
• it is not illegal, stolen, counterfeit, dangerous, or otherwise prohibited under Rwandan law.

Listings stay up for 30 days and can be relisted. We may remove listings that break these terms. Never pay before meeting the seller in person and inspecting the item.

When you use Huro, including messages and offers, you agree not to:

• harass, threaten or deceive other people;
• post content that is unlawful, abusive or infringes someone else's rights;
• attempt fraud, or misuse promotions, discounts or referrals;
• interfere with Huro, or try to access accounts or data that aren't yours.

The Huro name, logo, website and app, and their content, belong to Huro Africa Ltd or our licensors. You may use them only to shop on and use Huro.

We take care to run Huro well, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, or for transactions between Used Market buyers and sellers.

Nothing in these terms limits any responsibility that cannot be limited under the laws of Rwanda.

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Changes apply to orders placed after they are published.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Rwanda, and the courts of Rwanda have jurisdiction over any dispute.
